Carlton Energy Grp., LLC v. Phillips, 8/30/16
April 20, 2017

The evidence supporting the trial court’s award of $31.16 million in actual damages to appellant as the fair market value of its interest in a natural gas exploration and prospecting project in Bulgaria at the time that two appellees tortiously interfered with a letter agreement, was not so weak as to render the award clearly wrong and manifestly unjust. Accordingly, the evidence was factually sufficient to support the trial court’s award to appellant of $31.16 million in actual damages against appellees. The portion of the trial court’s judgment awarding appellant $31.16 million in actual damages was affirmed.
